Surjit Patar’s sudden death has deeply affected art and poetry enthusiasts. His contributions to literature and culture will be remembered fondly by many. On May 11, 2024, he passed away at the age of 79 due to a suspected heart attack at his residence in Ludhiana.
He will also be cremated with full state honors at the Model Town Extension Cremation Ground in Ludhiana on May 13.
