Police Seize Nearly Half a Pound of Methamphetamine and events in Salt Lake City
In a pre-dawn operation, the Salt Lake City Police Department executed a traffic stop that led to the seizure of a substantial quantity of methamphetamine. The incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. on April 19 when officers pulled over an SUV near 1500 South West Temple St. for lacking a license plate. The ensuing investigation revealed more than 200 grams of the illicit substance. Also equivalent to nearly half a pound hidden within the vehicle.

Alongside the drugs, police discovered scales and packaging materials consistent with the intent to distribute. The suspects’ also alleged involvement in drug trafficking has raised concerns within the community.

In a separate incident, Salt Lake police recently recovered methamphetamine and illegal weapons during a response to suspicious activity. The suspect, a convicted felon, was found with a large folding knife and also suspected fentanyl pills.
