POLICE IN Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region, are investigating the shocking death of a three year old girl, whose death has sparked fears in the city.

Taslima Labaranon, the deceased, was said to have been declared missing by her family on Thursday so there was an intensive search to find her alive.

But that was not to be as the young girl’s lifeless body was eventually found in a house, which is under rehabilitation at the Dagomba Line in Kumasi on Saturday.

According to reports, the girl’s family became terrified when they could not trace the innocent girl on Thursday so they spread the news for public support to trace her.

On Friday, the family sustained the search for her but they couldn’t find her until the body was eventually discovered on Saturday by a group of young boys.

Reports suggested the group of young boys were playing on Saturday when they pounced on the lifeless body in the house, which is now under rehabilitation.

They quickly blew the alarm and it attracted a number of people to the scene, including family members of
    Taslima Labaranon, who cried uncontrollably.

Meanwhile, the body has since been released to the bereaved family for burial according to Islamic tradition as police, who are suspecting foul play, are probing the case.
