Burna Boy aka The African Giant has revealed why he hasn’t expressed an interest in the Nigerian Presidential election
In an Instagram post via his official page, the grammy-winner revealed some people have taken offences at him simply because he wasn’t vocal about the Presidential elections currently underway in Nigeria revealing it is as a result of not having a candidate or political party he believes in “I don’t know why it’s such a big deal to some Nigerians that I’ve not been vocal about the elections”
Burna Boy would further add not wanting anybody to take offence at him on the basis of his choice not living up to expectations “Personally, I don’t have a candidate that I believe in. I’ve never supported any political party or candidate in my life because I don’t want to make you vote and then blame me when the person f**ks up as usual”
He would then conclude by adding that he hopes all votes would count whilst wishing his people back home in Nigeria a peaceful election as he is currently in the diaspora and working in the studio “That being said, I hope all votes count and the best man wins”
Burna Boy is considered one of the three big artiste in Nigeria alongside Davido and Wizkid whilst many consider him to be the biggest artiste currently on the continent of Africa due to his tall list of achievements as far as success in music is concerned. From selling out the biggest venues in Europe to breaking records on music charts, he has seen it all and seems to be working on a new album after just recently releasing ‘Love, Damini’ which is doing amazing numbers via the various music streaming platforms.
