A woman in her 50s who attempted to bury her deceased husband in a bush at Mankessim in the Central Region was discovered and almost executed.

She did this because she was unable to contact the family of her late husband, Mr. Aggrey Coffie, a well-known lotto agent with whom she had lived for more than 20 years.

According to the information gathered, the deceased had an undiagnosed illness. Because the deceased’s wife didn’t know any of her family members, she made every effort to get him well before his passing, but her efforts were ineffective.

Then, on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at around 7:30 PM, she had her late husband’s body placed in a sack and hired some men to help her bury her in a bush covertly.

However, after receiving a tip, some of the woman’s neighbors caught her and almost assaulted her.

According to some neighbors who spoke with Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan, the deceased always became agitated when people inquired about his origins.

They claim that during the deceased’s more than fifteen years of living with him, they never spoke to him when he returned from work because some people think he was a ghost.

Therefore, the locals are pleading with the public to help them locate the deceased’s family.

The Mankessim Roman Catholic Hospital Mortuary has received the body, and the Mankessim Police Station has been notified to conduct an investigation.
