THE POLICE in Kumasi have commenced investigations into the death of a man, who was found dead in a pond. The dead man, whose name and other identities are still not known, was found in the pond around 11am on Monday, February 5.
The body of the deceased, especially his face, was almost decomposing therefore it was impossible for anyone to recognize him.
According to the police, they received information that a man was floating in a pond at Twedie New Site so they rushed there to check.
When the police arrived at the scene, indeed a man, who is believed to be in his late forty’s, was seen already dead and floating in the pond.
The police said when the body was inspected it was almost decomposing, therefore it was not possible for the man to be recognized.
According to the police, the body has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The police assured in a Sitrep that they are working assiduously to help find out the exact cause of the man’s death.
