    North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is currently in the Accra High Court on charges of contempt brought against him by the Secretary of the National Church Council, Kwabena Adu Gyamfi aka Victor Kusi Boateng.

    Plaintiff told the court that Ablakwa’s refusal to accept two lawsuits he had filed, and kicking court documents to the floor after service was disrespectful to the court and Ablakwa should be sentenced. and jailed.

    Mr. Ablakwa was represented in court by lawyer Thaddeus Sory.

    However, before the case went to trial, several senior members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) came to support their colleagues.

    Among those spotted in court were NDC National Secretary Fifi Kwetey, NDC Deputy Director of National Communications, Ako Gunn, NDC Leadership Member Omane Boamah, and Totobi Kwakye, a former Information Minister under the government of Rawlings.

    Meanwhile, voters of the North Tongu MPs gathered outside the courtroom, chanting songs in support of their MPs.
