Mason Greenwood is an amazing player who can score goals with both his right and left foot, according to former Ghana international Michael Essien.
Greenwood found himself on the scoresheet as Getafe easily defeated Sevilla 3-0 in La Liga on Saturday.
After joining Getafe on loan last summer, the 22-year-old has since scored five goals and provided four assists across all competitions.
The young forward, who is left-footed, scored from the penalty against Sevilla with his right foot despite having the gift of being able to strike the ball with both feet.
This got Michael Essien’s attention, and he took to X (previously Twitter) to express his admiration for Greenwood’s agility.
“I am quite impressed seeing Mason Greenwood a left-footed player, taking a penalty kick with his right foot and scoring,” Michael Essien wrote.

After more than a year of facing an internal suspension, Greenwood left Manchester United to join Getafe on loan in the summer of last year.
This came after the Premier League team declared in August that the striker would be departing the team after its internal investigations were finished.
Following accusations by his girlfriend, Greenwood was charged with rape and engaging in controlling and coercive behavior. As a result, he has been suspended since January 2022.
Following the withdrawal of important witnesses, the charges were eventually dropped earlier this year, according to the Police.
This made it possible for Greenwood to return, but Manchester United announced that the 22-year-old would now be on loan at Getafe and would no longer be playing for them.
