A Mozambican pastor has died after fasting for 40 days trying to achieve the biblical record set by Jesus on the Mount of Olives.
The Pastor and founder of the Evangelical Church of Santa Trindade in the central province of Manica, Francisco Barajah was confirmed on Wednesday.

After 25 days of fasting, he lost so much weight that he could no longer stand, shower or walk.
A few days later, at the insistence of relatives and followers, he was taken to the hospital but attempts to get him to his feet failed.
The followers of his church and neighbors were not surprised by the turn of events, given his extreme weight loss and disfigurement in recent days.
