The Ghana Police Service, in an official statement, expressed deep sorrow and condolences to the grieving family of the deceased. The police clarified that the ongoing operation aimed to apprehend a notorious criminal gang responsible for a spate of robberies in the area. Saturday, 16 December 2023, marked a breakthrough in the mission with the arrest of two gang members. However, the success was marred by the unintended consequences of a stray bullet.
