Ame Tunkara, Morounranti Adefila, Danny Ohen, and Bridget Aideyan, all of whom were found guilty, faced justice at Wolverhampton Crown Court. Tunkara, 33, and Adefila, 43, were sentenced to four months in prison for ill-treatment and wilful neglect on December 8. Meanwhile, Ohen, 39, and Aideyan, 49, received sentences of six months and four months, respectively, on November 14.

The family’s concern arose when they observed bruising on the elderly woman’s arm after a year in the care home. Additionally, she displayed signs of nervousness and fear of physical contact, prompting them to take the unprecedented step of installing a camera for her protection.
Tragically, the elderly woman passed away in October, further highlighting the severity of the ill-treatment she endured during her final years.
Detective Constable Kathryn Sargent expressed the gravity of the situation, stating, “This elderly woman sadly died in October and should not have spent any of her remaining years suffering such ill-treatment.”
