Some Ghanaian individuals believed to be supporters of the newly formed political party called “The New Force,” have stormed the Kaneshie District Court to demand justice for their spokesperson, Shalimar Abbiusi.

Earlier on InsightNewsgh.com reported that Ms. Abbiusi appeared before the Kaneshie District Court  this morning after she was lawfully remanded into custody on Friday, 8th December 2023.

In a video sighted on UTV X (formerly Twitter) page, Shalimar Abbiusi was seen arriving and been escorted into the Kaneshie District Court. The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) arraigned her.

We have again sighted on some photos going viral on social media in which some supporters of the New Force massed up at the Kaneshie District Court, demanding justice on behalf of their spokesperson, Shalimar Abbiusi.

Some wore red and others black customized T-shirt, holding placards demanding the release of Ms. Abbiusi. The inscription on the placards had these messages, “Free Shallie,” “Justice for Shallie uphold Human Rights,” “We demand transparency in Shallie’s case,” and others.

Relatedly, instead of accepting the accused person’s plea, the Kaneshie District court read the case in public.

The Belgian representative of “The New Force,” Abbiusi, is being detained on suspicion of “obtaining for yourself a student permit by false declaration.”

The accused, Shalimar Abbiusi was placed under lawful custody and ordered to return on Monday, December 11, 2023, after the court granted the prosecution several days to wrap up their investigations.

Meanwhile, the New Force political movement’s spokesperson’s family has charged Ghana’s government with robbing them of their daughter.

They claim that although Shalimar Abbiusi has been forcibly detained by the National Investigation Bureau (NIB), she is not a criminal.

Ms. Abbiusi’s parents were seen sobbing and pleading for their daughter’s release in a recent video that the New Force released.

“They kidnapped my daughter, she did nothing wrong. She is not a criminal,” her mother cried.

In addition, her father pleaded with the authorities to free her defenseless daughter.

“I want to speak to the government; give my daughter back,” he fumed.
