Ghanaian actress and movie producer Yvonne Nelson has described people who rely on their spiritual fathers for prayers instead of directly seeking God themselves as lazy Christians.
According to her, many Christians have put their hopes on who stands on the platform, whether that person is truly called by God or not, to them it does not matter. She said it was necessary to pray like a person.

Speaking on Kingdom FM, she said “You can pray and read the word; no need to rely solely on spiritual fathers to pray on your behalf. People pay pastors to pray for them and I feel it’s laziness because you can do all those for yourself as a child of God.”
According to Yvonne, the church gradually became more of a commercial avenue than a House of God or a tabernacle for worship.
Even so, Yvonne does not deny the nature of religion, as she believes that God still speaks and reveals hidden things to His people.
She made these remarks when asked if she believed in prophecies.
“I believe in dreams, not necessarily prophesies. If God wants to reveal something about me, he can show it in my dream or someone close to me can also dream about it. I don’t need a pastor to tell me God is real, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is real.”
Yvonne Nelson urges Christians to pray for the spiritual clarity to distinguish authenticity from quackism.

There’s a bit of truth in what Yvonne Nelson is talking about, Christianity today has turned into a business venture for some lazy folks who go about claiming to be pastors and prophets.
And some lazy Christians are been lured into their trap after they gave them one or two prophecies. Some Christians are so lazy that they pay pastors to fast and pray to God on their behalf when they get into problems.
Bible teaches us to give honor to whom honor is due but not to the extent of making your spiritual father your God. IT IS TOTALLY OUT OF SCRIPTURE.
