Ghanaian boxer Braimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku, has announced his retirement from professional boxing.
Speaking in an interview with Halifax on Best Entertainment Show on Okay FM, Bukom Banku disclosed he has decided to hang his boxing gloves after his two sons entered into boxing and he has problem with his eyes.
According to him, he has handed all his boxing hloves and shorts to his two sons; Abu Kamoko and Mustapha Kamoko.
“I am grown this time, same time my eyes is also paining me. I don’t want to fight again because, three of my sons have entered into boxing. I have packed everything my gloves and shorts and given it to them,” he said.
Bukom Banku added that he has cleared and reached a certain height in boxing and so he expects his sons to also continue from his legacy in boxing.
The controversial boxer also asserted that he has resorted to comedy, videos, shows and TV/radio commercials to take care of himself.

Meanwhile, according to Bukom Banku, he bleached his skin in an attempt to appear more attractive.
However, the former WBO Africa Light Heavyweight champion claimed that some large men in the nation had advised him to quit bleaching.
A segment of the public harshly criticized the fighter in 2021 after images of his bleached skin went viral.
On the other hand, he asked his detractors to quit telling him how to live his life and defended his decisions, claiming that they were consistent with his brand.
After two years, Bukom Banku has acknowledged that bleaching his skin wasn’t the right decision and said he has stopped.
“I wanted to be very handsome so I bleached my skin but I’ve stopped,” he said on Accra FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo.
“I was advised by the big men in the building to stop bleaching. So that bleaching you will not see it again. I’ve stopped. Bleaching is not good. It can lead to all kinds of cancer. I’ve stopped.”
