A pastor has advised men not to wed women named Diana, stating that they are unmarried because they do not obey their husbands.
Pastor Ezekiel Odero of Kenya’s Newlife Church and Prayer Center claims that Diana is a name associated with evil spirits and that if a man marries one of these women, he will become her husband and she will become his wife.
He went on to say that Diana would leave her husband if he tried to stand his ground and not act as her puppet.
“If you marry a woman named Diana, she will control you like a robot. She becomes the husband, but if you show her that you are the man of the house, she will leave,” Pastor Ezekiel Odero told his church members recently, and the sermon was captured in a video that has been circulating online.
The man of God not only forbade marriage to them but also advised parents not to name their children Diana.

In a different sermon, Pastor Ezekiel Odero advised men not to marry women who sleep too much because a woman should be the first to get up and tend to her family’s needs, including those of her husband and children.
He can be heard asserting in an internet video that a woman is required by the Bible to rise early in the morning and tend to her family’s needs, including those of her husband and children.
He continued, “Any man who wakes up to find his wife still sleeping has made a bad choice,” in a dialect unique to the area.
“A woman who sleeps even after her husband has woken up is not a good woman because a man shouldn’t wake up before his wife. This is because the woman is supposed to be the light of the family. She should be the first one to wake up and prepare kids for school, do house chores, and even prepare breakfast for her husband. But if you wake up before your wife and she still sleeps, I am sorry for you…
“The Bible says a wise woman wakes up early in the morning and she is a precious stone to her husband… That is not a wife,” said Pastor Ezekiel Odero, via TUKO.co.ke translation.
His sermons have caused division in the community; some believe he is right, while others say his message reminds them of a slave mentality that treats married women like property.
