Nana Ohene Ntow, the former general secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has declared that he is not shocked nor concerned about being kicked out of the organization.
He claims that because he backed the party’s former flagbearer candidate, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, in his independent presidential bid, this decision was necessary and appropriate under the party’s constitution.
“Well, I feel it is not surprising and neither am I worried in any way because I have been party general secretary before and I know what the party’s constitution says.”
“I have personally not received any letter from anyone, it is a press release that put out there. A radio station called me and that is how I came to know about it,” Nana Ohene Ntow said during an interview on UTV on November 20, 2023.
In response to his expulsion from the NPP party, Nana Ohene Ntow stated that he had been shunned for the past 13 years despite being a former scribe.
He claimed that during that time, he had experienced rejection and being treated like an outsider.

Relatedly, Hopeson Adorye dismissed his firing from the ruling NPP with a laugh.
He predicted that the former minister of trade and industry would win the general elections in 2024 and that the dismissal would have no bearing.
According to Mr. Hopeson Adorye, the dismissal will motivate him to put in extra effort to guarantee Kyerematen’s victory in the 2024 presidential contest.
Adorye and three other members of the group were expelled from the party for openly supporting a candidate other than the one the party had legitimately elected to the presidency in 2024.
Former Madina MP Boniface Abubakar Saddique, former communications director Yaw Buaben Asamoa, and former general secretary Nana Ohene Ntow are the other members impacted.
The NPP’s general secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, issued a statement on Monday stating that the party’s constitution was broken by their actions.
