Akuapem Poloo, a Ghanaian actress, has advised politicians in the country who frequently take advantage of Abena Korkor.
In a recent interview with Fiifi Pratt, Akuampem Poloo said she was baffled as to why these so-called politicians continued to use Abena Korkor despite being fully aware of her mental instability.
A few years ago, Abena Korkor disclosed that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which causes her to occasionally behave abnormally.
For educational purposes, bipolar disorder is defined as a disorder characterized by episodes of mood swings that range from manic highs to depressive lows.
Although the precise cause of bipolar disorder is unknown, a mix of factors including environment, genetics, and changed brain chemistry and structure may be responsible.
Symptoms of manic episodes can include excessive energy, a decreased need for sleep, and a detachment from reality.
Symptoms of depressive episodes can include low motivation, low energy, and loss of interest in routine activities. Suicidal thoughts may also be linked to mood episodes, which can last anywhere from a few days to several months.
Nevertheless, these so-called “big men” in society continue to have affairs with Abena Korkor despite being aware of her illness, and she eventually exposes them during one of her episodes.
That’s why Akuapem Poloo has counseled them to be respectful of Abena Korkor so that she ceases to expose them.
Meanwhile, Rapper Jay Bahd from Ghana has caused a stir when he says that marijuana use, which is referred to as “wee” in Ghanaian culture, is not a sin and is instead comparable to “mogya duro,” or “blood tonic.”
In an open discussion on Ghpage’s Rush Hour Show, the “Odo” hitmaker shamelessly supported smoking “wee,” stressing that it should be seen as a “blood tonic.”
According to Jay Bhad, marijuana should be viewed as a “blood tonic” since it increases appetite, which promotes better eating practices.
