Warwick Capper is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club and the Brisbane Bears in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was known for his flamboyant personality. And his on-field skills, and was one of the most popular players of his generation.
Capper was born in Melbourne, Australia on July 18, 1969. He also began playing football at a young age. And quickly showed a lot of promise. He was also drafted by the Carlton Football Club with the first overall pick in the 1986 AFL Draft.
Capper also made his AFL debut in 1987 and had an immediate impact. He was named the AFL Rising Star in 1987. And was selected in the AFL All-Australian team in 1989, 1990, and 1991. He also helped Carlton win the VFL/AFL Premiership in 1991.
Capper also retired from AFL football in 1998. And has since worked as a media commentator and businessman. He is also a philanthropist. And has also donated money to a number of charities. Including the Warwick Capper Foundation, which also provides financial assistance to underprivileged youth in the Melbourne region.
