Bio: Nikita Zadorov’s Biography
Nikita Zadorov was born on May 16, 1995, in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. He began playing hockey at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks of the Russian junior hockey system. In 2012, Zadorov also made his professional debut with the CSKA Moscow in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
In 2014, Zadorov was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in the 2014-15 season and also quickly established himself as a valuable member of the Avalanche’s defense.
Zadorov is also a physical and mobile defenseman who can play in all situations. He is also a skilled puck-handler and has a good shot.
In 2018, Zadorov was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks. He played two seasons with the Blackhawks before being traded to the Calgary Flames in 2020.
