Movement for Change (MFC) founder and independent presidential candidate Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has urged Ghanaians to vote against the two major parties in the general elections of 2024.
He claimed that vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and former president John Dramani Mahama had nothing new to offer the nation.
Speaking to a large group of volunteers as part of his orientation program in Accra, the well-known former Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Cash, asked what novel ideas Ghanaians are being exposed to from presidential candidates Mahama and Bawumia of the NDC and NPP, respectively.
According to Mr. Alan Kyerematen, sustained development in Ghana requires someone with new ideas and a different approach to doing things.
In order to help bring about the necessary change for the betterment of the nation in the 2024 General Election, he encouraged Ghanaians from all walks of life, as well as the youth, to join his MFC train. The youth are the country’s future leaders.
“What new things are they bringing to the table? What is it that they wanted to do and couldn’t do in their time in power? They have nothing special or new apart to offer from the old format of running government”, Alan said to volunteers who were applauding during the orientation.
He explained his intentions for Ghana and the need for a third force in Ghana’s geopolitical region.
More than 150,000 volunteers expressed their desire to join the MFC during the orientation program, demonstrating the movement’s resolve to seize power in the 2024 elections.
According to recent remarks made by Mr. Kyeremanten, he will defeat Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and John Mahama in the upcoming elections.
Although Kyerematen congratulated Vice President Bawumia on being chosen as the NPP’s flagbearer, he said that this was a widely anticipated result.
He noted that the results of the primaries seemed to indicate that the electoral process had been deliberately and tactically skewed in favor of a particular candidate.
