Ghana’s Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his team have initiated their victory celebration, following provisional results that indicate his victory in the NPP presidential race.
On Saturday, November 4, 2023, New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates nationwide cast their ballots to select the party’s flagbearer for the 2024 elections.
A fierce race to choose the best candidate to take the party to victory in the general elections of 2024.
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong, former Agriculture Minister Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, and Francis Addai-Nimoh are competing to see who deserves to carry on the torch.
In a new development as we wait for the NPP to finally declare the winner in the just-ended presidential primaries, a video going viral on social media captures Dr. Bawumia and his team in jubilation mood as provisional results projects him as the winner.
In the video, Dr. Bawumia in company with his wife, Second Lady Samira Bawumia all in white together with his team celebrating in victory.

Relatedly, MP for Ablekuma West, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has killed New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Ohene Agyapong’s dreams of leading the ruling party in the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.
The NPP is currently holding elections in all 275 of its constituencies nationwide to choose a presidential candidate.
After casting her vote, the Minister for Communications and Digitization, Mad. Ursula Owusu speaking to the media, stated that she strongly believes the delegates in her constituents are behind the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his vision for the party.
According to her, they have done extensive work before the November 4 elections and she knows that the people won’t Dr. Bawumia down.
Asked whether, Kennedy Agyapong can pulled a surprise victory on Bawumia in Ablekuma West constituency, Mrs Ursula Owusu said the Member of Parliament for Assin Central will see his smoothness level by close of polls today.
