Priscilla Presley was born Priscilla Ann Wagner on May 24, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York. She was raised in Brooklyn and Queens, New York, by her mother, Ann Lillian Wagner, and also her stepfather, Paul Beaulieu. Presley’s biological father, James Wagner, was also a U.S. Navy sailor who was killed in a plane crash when she was an infant.

In 1959, when Presley was 14 years old, her family was stationed in West Germany. It was also there that she met Elvis Presley, who was serving in the U.S. Army. Elvis was immediately smitten with Presley, and they began a relationship.

Priscilla’s parents were initially hesitant to allow their daughter to date Elvis. But they eventually gave their blessing.
