    Chief Executive Officer of the State Transport Company, Nana Akomea has lamented over the recent bribery and corruption allegations has degenerated the New Patriotc Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries which is set to come off this Saturday.

    Recently, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central alleged that he was approached by one of the contender’s in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearership race with a whooping sum of $800milion to step down from the presidential primaries but he rejected.

    However, following this Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia‘s campaign team quickly came out to dismiss the claims by Ken Agyapong even though the latter did not mention any of the aspirants name.

    Speaking in a panel discussion on TV3, Mr Nana Akomea said he is unhappy about the surprise of events in the NPP presidential primaries.

    “Well, is it unfortunate that the NPP primaries for the flahbearership has degenerated to this extent, where serious allegations have been made in an attempt to impune people’s integrity with no shrink of evidence ,” he said.

    According to him, even though nobody’s name was mentioned by Kennedy Agyapong, the expectations of people he could be referring to the Vice President although it could be anybody amongst the NPP presidential aspirants.

    Nana Akomea dismissed Ken Agyapong’s $800m claims by saying it does not sound credible.

    Relatedly, Mr. Sam Pee Yalley has called on the NPP to conduct an intensive investigations into Kennedy Agyapong’s allegations.

    The former High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana to India highlighted the necessity of conducting a comprehensive investigation to uncover the truth behind this significant claim made by Kennedy Agyapong.

    Mr. Sam Yalley said that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are afraid of Dr. Bawumia because the NPP are forcing a man who’s a chronic liar on Ghanaians.
