Suame NDC Youth organizer from the besieged National Democratic National Congress constituency, Razak Kompa, will appear in court today, Thursday, February 9, 2023.
That was after he was handed over to the police by the NDC after being declared wanted for inciting political violence ahead of the 2024 general election.

NDC leader Suame Youth is said to have issued statements likely to retaliate for state-sponsored violence during elections.
This was condemned by all political parties, with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) calling for an immediate continuation.
But speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, the Dwaso Nsem programme, Joseph Yamin, National NDC Organizer, was not pleased with the way the police handled the matter.
He testified that the police refused to give Razak bail after he voluntarily surrendered.
“I know every crime is bailable in this country so why is the police behaving this way? This is selective justice,” he fumed.
The NDC organizers do not understand why the police are ‘triggered’ when dealing with NDC and treating NPP members with child gloves.

“There has been a viral video of an NPP man making a statement serious than this but the IGP has not ordered for his arrest,” he fumed.
Mr Yamin said police could have taken the shortest and easiest route by warning the young man not to commit any more crimes.
Even so, he said that they weren’t worried because “it is an opportunity for the young man [Razak] to convert other inmates to vote against the NPP in the 2024 elections.”
