New Patriotic party (NPP) presidential hopeful and Member of Parliament for Assin Central constituency, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has claimed that he was given a huge amount of $800million to resign from the November 4 presidential elections.
Kennedy Agyapong was speaking in an interview on Kumasi-bsaed Time FM, when he refused that claims of requesting for $500milion to step down from the NPP presidential race.
According to him, he was rather offered $800million from one of the camp of the NPP presidential aspirants to drop from the November 4 polls but he rejected.
“The money they offered me was $800million but I rejected it because I love Ghana and NPP delegates.”
Kennedy Agyapong refused to reveal the person who offered him the money to drop out of the race, however, he said he would speak about it after the November 4 elections.
Ken Agyapong added that some people within the NPP are attempting him to say something so that they can capitalize on it and use it against him but he’ll never allow that to happen.
The controversial politician claimed that beside the money he was offered, some party executive have begged him to step down and become a running mate but he rejected the offer too.

Meanwhile, according to the most recent Global Info Analytics Survey, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will receive the majority of votes in as many as 13 of the 16 regions in the contest to lead the New Patriotic Party as flagbearer.
Additionally, he shares eighty percent of the votes in the Oti Region with Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a businessman and unconventional politician who emerges victorious in the Ashanti and Central regions.
And the Vice President puts some distance between himself and his opponents, including a near-clean sweep of the votes in the North East region when he garners 90%, with the remaining 10% representing those who have not decided who to vote for (6%) or will not disclose their choices (4%).
This is in addition to the Western region, where the two front runners came dangerously close to splitting the votes (31% for Bawumia and 29% for Agyapong).
The NPP goes to polls on Saturday, November 4 to elect a presidential candidate for 2024 general elections.
