    Plot

    Bodies is a British crime thriller limited series created for Netflix by Paul Tomalin, based on the DC Vertigo comic and graphic novel of the same name written by Si Spencer and illustrated by Dean Ormston, Tula Lotay, Meghan Hetrick, and Phil Winslade. The series consists of eight episodes and is set to premiere on Netflix on October 19, 2023.

    The series also follows four detectives in four different time periods:

    • 1890s: Detective Sergeant Edmond Hillinghead (Stephen Graham) is a brilliant but overachieving detective who is determined to solve the murder of a young woman.
    • 1940s: Detective Sergeant Karl Whiteman (Jacob Fortune-Lloyd) is a dashing and charming detective who is investigating the murder of a soldier during World War II.
    • 2010s: Detective Sergeant Shahara Hasan (Lauren O’Rourke) is a tough and resourceful detective who is investigating the murder of a prominent businessman.
    • 2053: Detective Sergeant Iris Maplewood (Shira Haas) is an amnesiac detective who is investigating the murder of a scientist in a post-apocalyptic world.

    As each detective also gets closer to the truth, they become part of a decades-long conspiracy that could decimate London.
