Millie Bobby Brown was born on February 19, 2004, in Marbella, Málaga, Spain, to British parents Kelly and Robert Brown. She is the third of four children. Her family moved to Bournemouth, Dorset, England, when she was four years old, and then to Windermere, Florida, when she was eight years old.
Brown began her acting career at the age of eight, appearing in the ABC series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland as Young Alice. She also had a recurring role in the BBC America series Intruders.
In 2016, Brown rose to stardom for her role as Eleven in the Netflix science fiction horror series Stranger Things. Eleven is a young girl with psychokinetic abilities who escapes from a government laboratory and is befriended by a group of boys in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana.
