Controversial Reggae Dancehall singer Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known as Shatta Wale in the entertainment industry, has attacked well-known businessman Dr. Osei Kwame Despite and his protege, Fadda Dickson.
This follows the admission by an employee of Despite Media Group owner Dr. Kwame Despite, Kwasi Aboagye, that Shatta Wale did not receive the £80,000 prize money for winning the recently concluded Ghana Music Awards, which were held in the UK as reported.
In response to Kwasi Aboagye’s claims, Shatta Wale allegedly vented his rage and frustrations on Kwame Despite, the businessman who employed Kwasi, saying, “you’re a fool, Kwame Despite who employed you is also a fool, Fadda Dickson is also a fool…”.
Many people, including his own fans, are surprised by the new rants and profane language directed at the millionaire because Kwame Despite has only ever been a supportive figure in the music industry.

Earlier on, Shatta Wale claimed that he was paid £80,000 for his performance at the Ghana Music Awards UK 2023, but Kwasi Aboagye has categorically denied this.
Shatta Wale had previously used Twitter to thank the event’s sponsors and supporters, acknowledge the event’s success, and brag about receiving such a sizable sum.
However, Kwasi Aboagye insists that Shatta’s allegations are wholly unfounded. During his appearance on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review, he described them as unrealistic and impractical, claiming that given the sizeable costs incurred for Shatta Wale’s trip, it would be impossible for the event organizers to afford such a sum.
The seasoned broadcaster pointed out that after paying for Shatta Wale and his team’s travel, lodging, and other expenses in first class, the event’s organizers would not be able to give him such a sizable payment.
“Shatta Wale said he was paid 80,000 pounds as a performance fee and the ultimate ‘Artiste of the Year’ award. He was never paid 80,000 pounds for his performance. It is a huge lie! Do the organizers even have that 80,000 pounds to give Shatta Wale? He is lying. It is never true. 80,000 pounds. You were given a heroic welcome at the airport, given a royalty treat. You, your girlfriend, and your entire team were given visas. You guys flew first class. I am not sure you were even given 10,000 pounds.”
