Akufo-Addo DECEIVED NPP MPs on Ofori-Atta removal – Alhassan Suhuyini

Tamale North Member of Parliament, Alhassan Suhuyini has said the justification of President Akufo-Addo to remain his finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta at post is abysmal.

According to him, if the 98 NPP MPs who publicly called for the removal of Ofori-Atta from office had supported the motion by the Minority, the Minister would have been out of office by now.

Speaking on ‘Good Morning Ghana’ show, the NDC lawmaker said the 98 NPP MPs failed Ghanaians and the whole country when they refused to support their censure motion, adding that, they allowed themselves to be tricked by the President.

“I am quiet disappointed that the NPP MPs who went public with the removal of the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta allowed themselves to be tricked by the President. We know that they had an agreement with the President that the Minister will leave after his budget reading, and whatever. I remember engaging some of them to support the motion of the Minority to get the Minister removed from office but that didn’t happen. The NPP MPs have themselves to be blamed, now the President has tricked them. He seem not ready to even have that conversation again concerning the removal of Ken Ofori Atta” he said on the show.
