On Saturday, October 7, 2023, chaos broke out in the UTV studios. During the commotion, Kwame A-Plus falsely accused Ernest Owusu-Bempah of being the mastermind behind the disruption of the United Showbiz program.
A-Plus continued his rants by disparaging Ernest Owusu-Bempah’s character and degrading him on live television.

We, the members of the Concerned Ashanti Youth group are shocked beyond belief that someone like A-Plus could fabricate and peddle blatant lies on Live TV.
We are fully aware that part of the burden one bears for having being in public office in Ghana is that one has to endure all kinds of uninformed and sometimes mischievous attempts to malign one’s character. However we cannot accept A-Plus’s uncouth behaviour any longer.
What he did on UTV on Saturday night was way too much tirades from an alcoholic in denial. His posturing alone tells it all.
A-Plus cannot engage in slander and character assassination, and even issue a threat on Owusu-Bempah’s life and expect to be treated with kids gloves.
It appears to be the case that a whiff of media hooliganism and criminality has become part of A-Plus’s lifestyle but we are sending this caution to him to desist from his eccentricity.
In fact, we challenge A-Plus to publish the details of how Owusu-Bempah mobilize the group that disrupted the United Showbiz program or publish a retraction and unreserved apology immediately.
We also expect the Police service to take immediate action against A-Plus, otherwise we the members of the Concerned
Ashanti Youth group will use all legitimate means to deal with the filth associated with this political chancer and opportunist.Signed:

Relatedly, Ernest Owusu-Bempah has requested that Kwame Asare Obeng (A-Plus) withdraw his claim that he was responsible for the youth who allegedly broke into the UTV studios on October 7 and were thought to be NPP supporters.
Owusu-Bempah warned A-Plus that if he didn’t apologize, he would be sued for defamation.
While the station’s United Showbiz program was being broadcast, the U-TV studios were attacked.
Following that, 16 people were detained by the police. The individuals who were detained were seen in a video aiming for an A-Plus.
