Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, the founder and leader of the Movement for Change, has pleaded with Ghanaians to choose a president based on his or her vision and integrity rather than on the basis of party partisanship.

According to him, the Movement’s core objective is to organize the more than 6.6 million floating voters who share his vision for changing Ghana.

Mr. Alan Kyerematen claimed that the Great Transformational Plan (GTP) was necessary in order for Ghana to move past the NPP and NDC.

He claims that in order to advance Ghana’s transformational agenda for the benefit of all youth, the Movement for Change intends to create a union of government with representatives of all political parties, religious organizations, and professionals.

In order to balance the scales in his appointment, the Independent candidate promised that 60% of all ministerial appointments in his administration would come from the youth demographic.

“We are in a period of transformation,” Mr. Alan Kyerematen continued by saying that following Ghana’s political independence in 1957, the country is about to undergo its next significant change.

The former Trade and Industry Minister claimed that in order to transform Ghana, the proposed GTP is based on 15 themes, the foundation of which is a stable economy, industrialization, agriculture, energy, and health and education.

Ghana needs a transformational leader, not a new political party, according to the former NPP presidential candidate, who was speaking to Kwame Tanko on Angel FM Morning Drive in Kumasi yesterday.

Meanwhile, claims that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia had promised some people running mate slots have been refuted by Sammi Awuku, CEO of the National Lotteries Authority (NLA).

He claimed that no member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had ever played such a role on the Vice President’s campaign team.

He stressed that Dr. Bawumia is focused on the upcoming November 4 elections and has avoided mentioning a running mate throughout his political career in an interview on Peace FM in Accra.
