Black Sherif won his first BET award at the recently concluded 2023 Hip Hop Awards for ‘Best International Flow.’
At the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, the two-time nominee was nominated in the ‘Best International Flow’ category.
Black Sherif won the prize by defeating nine other rappers. Aka and K.O from South Africa, Sampa The Great from Zimbabwe, and Aka are three of his rivals from Africa. Other nominees include Gazo from France, Central Cee from the UK, J Hus from the UK, Major Rd from Brazil, Ninho from France, and Tasha & Tracie from Brazil.
Last year, Black Sherif received his first nomination for ‘Best International Flow,’ but Benjamin Epps won the prize.
At the 2022 edition of the prestigious awards program, he was nominated in the “Best International Flow” category alongside Benjamin Epps (France), Central Cee (UK), Blxckie (South Africa), Haviah Mighty (Canada), Knucks (UK), Le Juiice (France), Nadia Nakai (Zimbabwe), and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil).
The program was recorded in Atlanta on October 3, 2023, and it will air live on October 10.

Meanwhile, Naira Marley, the stage name of Nigerian singer Afeez Fashola, has relocated to Lagos in order to actively assist law enforcement in the investigation into the tragic death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as MohBad.
He expressed on Twitter his dedication to supporting the law enforcement and emphasized the significance of his involvement in pursuing justice for Imole, or MohBad, as he was affectionately known.
He stated, “I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.”
In a viral video sighted on Twitter, the video captures the moment Naira Marley was being whisked away by the police as soon as he arrived in Nigerian at the airport. He was seen been led by some policemen to enter a vehicle at the airport on his return.
