Kennedy Agyapong, a candidate for the position of flagbearer, claims that his political party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is robbing the nation blindly.
He claims that given how those in power are robbing the populace, it is unsettling to think about what the youth of this nation’s future may hold.
This was stated by Kennedy Agyapong in a speech to party supporters before the election on November 4, 2023.
“NPP is looting this country as if there is no tomorrow. What, why? They are stealing the money and later launder it to other foreign countries. What do you mean? The youth of this country are not working and what you do is intimidate people. I’ll put my life on the line and defend the youth of this country,” he said.
Kennedy Agyapong stated that he was determined to lead the NPP and improve the party and that he would not yield to any intimidation.

Relatively, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team has refuted claims by Kennedy Agyapong that he has been approached to step down and be given the Running Mate slot.
Also the campaign team of the Vice President described claims that the Flagbearer hopeful has resorted to threats and intimation of people not in his camp as fabricated lies which should not be regarded.
In a statement responding to the allegations made by Hon. Agyapong said “We wish to state in unequivocal terms that the Bawumia Campaign team has not approached Kennedy Agyapong for such a running mate offer, nor have we assigned any member of the team to approach him for the same. ”
The statement added, “It is also not true as alleged by Kennedy Agyapong that Dr. Bawumia is collapsing the party through intimidation. The unity of our party has been of great concern to candidate Dr. Bawumia.
