Dianne Feinstein is a senior United States Senator from California. She is also the oldest woman ever elected to the U.S. Senate and is the longest-serving female senator in American history. Feinstein is a member of the Democratic Party and has served in the Senate since 1992.
Feinstein was born on June 22, 1933, in San Francisco, California. She also grew up in a middle-class Jewish family. Feinstein’s father was a surgeon and also her mother was a housewife.
Feinstein graduated from Stanford University in 1955 with a degree in history. After college, she also worked as a journalist and a political activist.
