ATWIMA NTENSERE, a farming community in the Ashanti Region, was thrown into a state of mourning following the unfortunate death of a boy, believed to be 18 years old.
The lifeless body of Yaw Peter, 18, was seen dangling on a belt, which was firmly tied to a tree around 1:30 on September 5, 2023, attracting curious people to the crime scene.
Peter, who originally lived at Serkrom, did not leave behind any suicide note to determine what influenced him to end his own life in that weird manner, if he indeed committed suicide.

People in the community that stormed the crime scene, especially the women and children, were seen shedding uncontrollable tears for Peter, who wore a black T shirt and blue jeans.
The Abuakwa Divisional Police Command in the Ashanti Region, have since deposited the body at the morgue for preservation and autopsy as investigations into the case is ongoing.
A police report which confirmed the possible suicide story, and sighted by InsightNewsgh.com, indicated that Peter lived with his mother at Serkrom.
The report said Peter visited his elder brother, Kwame Billah at Taabere, and after spending some few days there, on September 4, 2023, he told his brother that he was returning to Serkrom.
However, on September 5, 2023, instead of going to his mother’s house at Serkrom as promised, Peter’s lifeless body was rather found hanging on a black belt tied to a tree at Ntensere.
The police removed the body from the tree and inspected it but no marks of violence was found on it to suggest that Peter was killed by some fiendish people, who later hanged his body on the tree.
Meanwhile, the police are leaving no stone unturned in their resolve to get to the bottom of the case. The police mainly want to know if Peter committed suicide or he was killed by other people.
