Mr. Domelevo stated, “I think the Office of the Special Prosecutor should work hand-in-hand with the Auditor General and see people being dragged to court and prosecuted in addition to the recovery of the funds.”

The portion of the audit that concerns criminality should be handed over to the Office of the Special Prosecutor.” Deterrence will be included in the system. Obtaining the essential evidence for the OSP to utilize in court is one of the things I anticipate from this relationship.

The Cathedral project’s Board of Trustees announced that it has started talking with Deloitte about starting a statutory audit of the endeavor.

General Daniel Yaw Domelevo, a former auditor, said he anticipates a comprehensive examination of the money used for the National Cathedral project.

Speaking on The Point of View, Citi TV’s premier program, Mr. Domelevo criticized the administration for using limited public funds to support the project.

The audit service’s action was in response to criticism from the public and inquiries into the cathedral.

This is in response to what the Board claims are ongoing, bothersome problems that have engulfed the construction process.

The Board, through its Chairman, Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah, stated in a statement earlier this week that “The Board is already in discussions to retain Deloitte, which accepted to be the auditors when the National Cathedral was registered, to commence the routine statutory audit.”
