Former Black Stars defender James Kuuku Dadzie has described Edson Arantes do Nascimento popularly known as Pele as the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time).
The legendary Ghanaian player lauded Pele as the best ever in an exclusive interview with CITI Sports as the world mourns Pele’s passing.
The former Brazil international passed away at age 82 after a battle with cancer and his passing has ignited the conversation about who the greatest footballer ever is.
“It’s Pele. He is the best. Number one. When you compare him to (Diego)Maradona and others, Pele is up there. He uses both feet and the thing that Pele had, you cannot see it in a Maradona or (Cristiano) Ronaldo and other players” he said.
Pele won three FIFA World Cup titles in his playing career with Brazil while winning six Brazilian league titles with Santos FC and two Copa Libertadores titles.
To honour his passing, FIFA President Gianni Infantino has proposed every FIFA nation member should name one stadium after the Brazilian great.
