Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has chosen his favorite amongst the 10 presidential candidates contesting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearerahip race.
According to him, he wishes the NPP delegates would vote the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to the lead the party in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Sammy Gyamfi said that if Dr. Bawumia becomes the NPP flagbearer for the 2024 polls, it will be an easy win for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by former president John Dramani Mahama.
According to him, NDC will not need to do massive campaign if Dr. Bawumia becomes NPP flagbearer. He said they will use his own previous campaign promised which he has failed to fulfill against him and allow Ghanaians decide whom to vote for.

Relatively, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional Constituency Chairmen claim they are about to choose a viable candidate for the party.
They contend that the contest is primarily about selecting a candidate who can help the NPP win the election next year and not about favoring members of the same tribe.
The Constituency Chairmen reiterated their support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in a statement released yesterday. They claimed that the Vice President enjoys strong backing from the party’s grassroots, and that their decision to cast a sizable vote for him in the Super Delegates on Saturday was in line with that decision.
In a message, Dominic Bosompem, Dean of Constituency Chairmen & Odotobri Constituency Chairman, added that Dr. Bawumia is unquestionably the preferred candidate of the general public.
