Showbiz personality Afia Schwarzenegger has reacted angrily after Hon. Kennedy Agyapong of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) made disparaging remarks about her in an interview recently. The two have been on loggerheads over the years on a number of issues.
Afia Schwarzenegger was mocked by the lawmaker during an interview on Citi TV saying he degraded his standards by even mentioning her name or going into the mud with her over the years. He made it clear that he didn’t think she was worth his time.
“You mentioned Afia Schwarzenegger, I never knew her until she went on Peace FM to insult me. Someone asked me that what have you done to Afia Schwarzenegger and I said who is Afia Schwarzenegger? Then he retorted, you don’t even know her? before asking him to go and get the recording of her attack on his person. Then I had to go down to her level for her to feel the pain that every individual that she has insulted also feels” he said.
Reacting to this, Afia Schwarzenegger wondered why will the New Patriotic Party Presidential Hopeful resort to bring back an old issue whiles he should have sticked to communicating his idea to the delegates of the party.

She chastised the lawmaker for having poor emotional and political intelligence. She claimed that the interviewer put up a trap for Agyapong in order to divert attention from his political message.
“I told you that your own enemy is yourself, because you had gone to CitiTV to sell your brand, but you had rather gone there to discuss me. You could have told the truth, that we had solved the issue. I am not your contender, don’t you know that the journalist played you? Right now, all the headlines are about what you said about me. Meanwhile, you are campaigning against people in your party. Am I a politician? But you chose to go down that level. You can’t be played like that honourable” she said in response.
