The MADINA Member of Parliament (MP), Hon Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu has intervened to secure bail for 22 Constituents of the KWEIMAN Community. Each of the 22 accused persons were admitted to bail in the sum of Ghc10,000.00 with one surety.
The 22 youth of KWEIMAN were being held on remand after they appeared before Circuit Court 1, Accra on 1st August, 2023. They were variously charged with assault and destruction of property of some elders and the chief of KWEIMAN.

The court yesterday, 9th August, 2023 granted them bail upon prayer by the MP, and the case has been referred to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) under section 73 of the Courts Act.
The Chiefs of KWEIMAN and families of the accused persons appreciated the effort of the MP. The MP was accompanied by the Former Ward Coordinator and the incoming Assembly man of KWEIMAN Hon Amadu Tahiru -popularly known as NAT and Hon Charles Kotei, the Assembly man of DANFA Electoral Area.

According to Hon Sosu, his main reason for intervening in the matter is to ensure that peace prevails in the constituency.
