June 2025 National Service Registrations Cancelled, Says NSA

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced that all registrations completed in June 2025 are cancelled, and that a new online registration for the 2025/2026 service year will begin today, Wednesday, October 8, 2025, and end on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

The announcement follows a directive from President John Dramani Mahama, who ordered a Technical and Forensic Audit of the previous Central Service Management Platform (CSMP). The audit revealed major irregularities and weaknesses in the system, prompting the design of a new and more secure digital platform to ensure transparency, data accuracy, and real-time verification.

In a statement, the Authority said that all registrations completed in June 2025 are null and void, explaining that data integrity issues, including discrepancies in applicants’ ages, had been detected.

“All previous registrations from June 2025 have been declared null and void. Every prospective service personnel must re-register on the new platform,” the statement noted.

The NSA assured that all legitimate registrants from the earlier exercise will receive refunds of their service fees. The Authority also stated that detailed, step-by-step registration guidelines will be available on its new website, www.gnsa.gov.gh, starting Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

According to the statement, the service year officially begins on Monday, November 3, 2025, with all personnel expected to report to their assigned service stations on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

The Authority added that the new system comes with stringent IT reforms and internal controls aimed at curbing payroll fraud and ensuring prompt allowance payments.

“The Authority has implemented stringent new IT reforms and internal controls. We have also engaged directly with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department to strengthen financial controls,” the statement said.

Beyond improving transparency and efficiency, the NSA announced that it is introducing special initiatives to expand opportunities for graduates. These include the Youth in Agriculture Programme, which offers practical training and potential start-up support through a partnership with Agrimpact Limited, and the Community Improvement Programmes (CIP), focusing on public health, literacy, sanitation, and voter education.

The Authority further revealed plans to collaborate with local and international private sector partners to provide employability training and job placement opportunities. This will be achieved through the new Service Personnel Skills Capacity Training Framework, designed to equip graduates with practical, job-ready skills.

The NSA urged all prospective national service personnel to take note of the new registration dates and comply with the updated process.
