Schoolgirl Gloria Segoe, who had reportedly gone to Kasoa to visit her boyfriend, was found dead in a pool of water at Tomefa, located in the Ga South Municipality near Kasoa on Monday night, June 23, 2025.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) retrieved the body of a young schoolgirl.
According to a statement posted on the GNFS Facebook page, the rescue team began their operation at exactly 10:02 p.m. and completed it by 10:42 p.m. Sadly, by the time they recovered her body, she had already passed away.
It is still unclear what led to Gloria’s death, but the police have taken over the case and are currently conducting investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

GNFS RETRIEVES BODY OF SCHOOLGIRL FROM POOL OF WATER AT TOMEFA
Last night (Monday, June 23, 2025), GNFS rescue personnel retrieved the lifeless body of a schoolgirl, Gloria Segoe, from a pool of water at Tomefa in the Ga South Municipality.
She was reportedly in town to visit her boyfriend. The operation began at 2202 hours and ended at 2242 hours.
The body was handed over to the police. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding her untimely passing.
