Popular Ghanaian Actress and former model, Kulsoume Sinare Baffoe has been nominated for appointment as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, the Presidency has announced.
Kulsoume Sinare Baffoe was nominated with some 14 others to serve as Ambassadors, High Commissioners and Consul-Generals designated for various countries.
The nomination for appointment of the 15 persons was done by President John Mahama following consultation with the Council of State. They are the first batch of ambassadorial appointees to be announced under President Mahama’s new government.
The nomination of actress Kulsoume has sparked excitement among her film making colleagues and fans who have flooded her social media pages with congratulatory messages.
Kulsoume became a household name in Ghana in the early 90s after she casted as a lead character by name ‘Babina’ in the horror and spiritual themed movie, ‘Babina’. Since then she has acted in close to a hundred movies and still in active film making business.
Kulsoume Sinare represented Ghana at the 1990 Miss Model of the World pageant held in Turkey. She is married to Anthony Baffoe a renowned football business manager and former Ghanaian international player.
The statement from the Presidency said Nii Amasah Namoale Esq., who is on record as the longest serving Member of Parliament for the La Dadekotopon Constituency has been nominated for appointment as Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil, is the largest country in South America.
Namoale, a trained agronomist, certified lawyer and business entrepreneur with a down-to-earth approach to issues is a former deputy Minister for Agriculture in charge of Fisheries
