A 32-YEAR-old man is in big trouble as he has been accused of defiling a 15-year-old girl and also getting her pregnant in the process.

The suspect’s name was only given by the Mankranso DOVSSU as Kwabena, a resident of Adugyama, a farming town in Ashanti region.

The victim, who is a form-one student of Afia Kobi Senior High School (SHS), reportedly fell sick suddenly so she was sent to hospital by her parents.

After thorough checks and tests were done on her body at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, it was detected that the girl was pregnant.

“On 16/05/2025 at 5:00 pm, Cosmos Nsiah, aged 39, of Kronom Buosie Kumasi, called at the Mankranso District Dovvsu with his 15 years old daughter (name withheld) a form 1 student of Afia Kobi SHS.

“The former reported that on the 10/05/2025 victim fell sick and was sent to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment and it was detected that victim is 32 weeks old pregnant” part of the police statement reads.

The police statement, further said “victim mentioned one Kwabena of Adugyama as responsible for her pregnancy as such wanted police action”.

According to the police, they have commenced a probe into the case already, adding “efforts are still underway to have suspect arrested to assist investigation”.
