A 44-year-old farmer, Enoch Kusi, has been accused of brutally murdering his 47-year-old wife, Ama Kwakyewaa, in the bush, with a beer bottleat Akyem Adwafo in the Akyemansa District of the Eastern Region.

The suspected killer, who allegedly accused his wife of infidelity, is on the run. The local youth have launched an intensive search for him, believing he has taken refuge in the neighborhood.

According to a report from Graphic Online, the tragic incident unfolded when a family member, Osei Amponsah, revealed to Daily Graphic at Adwafoon Wednesday April, 23rd, 2025, that the couple had been experiencing marital issues for months. Three months ago, a heated argument led Kwakyewaa to move back to her family home.

Osei Amponsah stated that last Tuesday, the now-deceased Kwakyewaa informed him she was heading to the farm. However, hours later, her daughter, Yaa Beebi, ran to him in panic, screaming that her father, Enoch Kusi, had killed her mother by striking her head multiple times with a beer bottle.

Amponsah, accompanied by three other men, rushed to the scene where they found Kwakyewaa lying unconscious in a pool of blood. They quickly transported her to the Adwafo community clinic, but she was pronounced dead on arrival. Amponsah also mentioned that Kusi had previously attempted to assault Kwakyewaa a month ago, but neighbors intervened.

The AkyemOfoase District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Bawa, confirmed the incident, stating that investigations are underway and the search for the suspect continues.

The brutal killing has left the community in shock, as they await justice for the late Kwakyewaa.
