THE POLICE has arrested three male suspects in connection with the gruesome murder of Yao Xian, a 52 year old Chinese miner.

They are Kwadwo Mensah, aged 32, Robert Agyei, aged 29, and Abdullah Mohammed, aged 45. The trio are said to be workers of the deceased.

Yao Xian, the police said, was shot in the chest by his runaway killers whilst riding a motorbike at Manso Watreso 11am on August 30.

The body has since been kept in the morgue for preservation and autopsy to confirm what exactly ended the life of the Chinese miner.

According to the police, they had information that a Chinese man had been shot dead at Manso Watereso so they quickly rushed there.

At the crime scene, the police personnel found Yao Xian lying on the ground with a gunshot wound in his chest, an indication that he was shot.

The police during a search in the various rooms of the three suspects found a pump action gun with ammunition in Robert Agyei’s room.

They said Agyei during interrogation said the gun had not been fire before, a claim which turned to be false when the gun was examined by police.

The three suspects are being kept in police custody to assist in investigations, the paper has been reliably informed by police sources.
