John Michael Gaudreau, affectionately known as “Johnny Hockey,” was born on August 13, 1993, in Salem, New Jersey, USA. He grew up in Carneys Point, New Jersey, where his passion for hockey began at a young age. Gaudreau’s father, Guy Gaudreau, was a hockey coach, which greatly influenced Johnny’s early development in the sport. He played youth hockey for the Philadelphia Little Flyers and later for the Team Comcast AAA program.
College Career
Gaudreau attended Boston College, where he played for the Eagles in the NCAA. His college career was nothing short of spectacular. In his freshman year (2011-2012), he helped lead the Eagles to a national championship.
