The Suame Police in Kumasi are hunting for one Dacosta for allegedly pouring hot water on his friend. The victim, identified as Ebenezer Frimpong, suffered severe body burns so he was rushed to the hospital.
Dacosta after committing the crime fled from the scene, and he has since gone into hiding to escape arrest. The unthinkable incident happened at Kronum Abuohia near Kumasi on Sunday, June 30, 2024 around 12pm.
The Suame Divisional Police, who are handling the case, said they have commenced investigations already.
“On 30/6/24 about 1700 hours, Ebenezer Frimpong, aged 30, of Kronun Abuahia with burns all over his upper body came to the station.
“He reported that same day about 1200 hours, an argument ensued between himself and his friend, suspect Dacosta.
“That in the process, suspect poured hot water on him and ran away”, a the police report reads. It also said the suspect has been hiding in order to escape arrest but the police are doing everything possible to nab him.
