    Tim Mayza is the eldest of four children born to Jerry and Marlene Mayza. His father, Jerry, played NCAA Division III basketball for Allentown College. Among his siblings:

    • Deanna: Deanna Mayza plays basketball for the University of Hartford.
    • Bridget: Bridget is another sibling.
    • Zach: Zach completes the quartet of Mayza siblings.

    Marriage

    Tim Mayza is married to his wife, Darian Konowal. The couple tied the knot on November 17, 2018, in Ephrata, Pennsylvania .

    Mayza’s journey from being a Phillies fan during his formative years to playing professional baseball has been remarkable. Now, as a Toronto Blue Jays pitcher, he continues to make an impact on the field while cherishing moments with his family and loved ones.

    Personal Life

    Timothy Gerard Mayza was born on January 15, 1992, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He attended Upper Perkiomen High School in Red Hill, Pennsylvania, where he excelled in multiple sports, including baseball, basketball, and soccer. As a sophomore, Mayza even threw a no-hitter, showcasing his talent on the baseball diamond.

    In his final high school season, he posted impressive numbers: a 5–3 win-loss record, a 2.73 earned run average (ERA), and 53 strikeouts in 51 innings pitched. Mayza’s commitment to baseball led him to also sign a letter of intent to attend Millersville University of Pennsylvania. At Millersville, Mayza continued to shine. In his final collegiate year, he recorded an 11–3 record. An remarkable 1.55 ERA, and 91 strikeouts in 98 2/3 innings.

    The Toronto Blue Jays drafted him in the 12th round of the 2013 MLB draft. He received a $100,000 signing bonus and also embarked on his professional career in the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Blue Jays. Mayza made his MLB debut with the Blue Jays in 2017, marking the beginning of his journey in the big leagues.

    Throughout his career, Mayza has been a reliable pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays. His MLB statistics also include a win-loss record of 20–8, an ERA of 3.87, and an impressive 292 strikeouts. Mayza’s fighting spirit and dedication to the game have made him a valuable asset on the field.
