Kyle Jarred “Flip” Filipowski was born on November 7, 2003, in Middletown, New York, United States. He is an American basketball player who currently plays for the Utah Jazz in the NBA. Filipowski played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. In the 2024 NBA Draft, he was selected by the Utah Jazz in the second round as the 32nd overall pick.

Filipowski Attended several high schools:

• Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Wilbraham, Massachusetts.

He was named the Gatorade Basketball Player of the Year for Massachusetts in 2021. As a freshman at Duke during the 2022–2023 season, Filipowski had impressive performances:

• Scored a double-double with 28 points and 15 rebounds in a win over Pittsburgh.
• Contributed 22 points and 6 rebounds in a victory against Notre Dame.
• Achieved another double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds in a win over arch-rival North Carolina.
